Girlz Unplugged Recipes

 Cocoa Lip Gloss

  • ½ cup petroleum jelly
  • 1 tsp Nestle Quik syrup (chocolate or strawberry)

Heat jelly in microwave for 30 seconds Add Quik syrup and mix well Heat again for another 30 seconds Place in lip-gloss containers and chill in fridge overnight

No Itch, No Ache, No Worries! Bath Soak

  • ½ cup baking soda

  • ½ cup powdered milk

  • 1 cup Epsom salts

  • 1 cup sea salt

  • 3 or 4 drops of essential oil – any scent you like

Combine all of the dry ingredients in a Ziploc bag. Add the essential oil. Continue to mix the ingredients in the Ziploc bag to ensure that the scent is thoroughly mixed in. Package as desired. Let stand for 24 hours before using.

 

Skin Softening Milk Bath

  • 1 cup Epsom salts
  • 2 cups powdered milk
  • 6-8 drops essential oil – any scent you like

Combine all of the dry ingredients in a Ziploc bag. Add the essential oil. Continue to mix the ingredients in the Ziploc bag to ensure that the scent is thoroughly mixed in. Package as desired. Let stand for 24 hours before using.

Cocoa Milk Bath – For Chocolate Lovers!
  • 1/8 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/8 cup powdered milk
  • ¼ cup Epsom salts
  • 1 tbsp baking soda
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch

Combine all of the ingredients in a Ziploc bag. Mix the ingredients to ensure that the ingredients are well blended. Package as desired. Let stand 24 hours before using. NOTE: With any of the products for the bath, add to the water while it is running. This will ensure that it mixes well with all the water.

   

Body Glitter

  • ¼ cup Vitamin E gel

  • 2 tbsp Non-toxic glitter

Mix the glitter with the gel. In the container, it will seem like too much glitter but it will spread out when it is put on.

Notes:

  1. Dollar stores are great places to get little jars and lip gloss tins for the products

  2. Decorate with ribbon, raffia or any other product that you wish to use

 

Gingerbread Body Polish

  • Equal parts coarse brown sugar and coarse white sugar

  • Sunflower oil (enough to loosely bind the sugar together)

Pinch each of cinnamon, nutmeg and ginger (or one drop of essential oil of each if available)

Combine all of the ingredients in a Ziploc bag.

Mix the ingredients to ensure that the ingredients are well blended.

Package as desired.

 

Use these recipes to make gifts, or as something to do for a birthday party, bridal shower, etc.
