Y's Senior Women

Y's senior women programs are for women at any age but especially for seniors. They include art workshops, financial literacy, gathering and sharing stories and building a community network. We offer these programs throughout Muskoka. Bring a friend and have some fun!

Muskoka Together

Drop-in knitting poster

Knitting Muskoka Together began with a series of free beginner's knitting workshops held in Port Carling, Huntsville, and Bracebridge this Fall and Winter. Participants were taught the skills needed in order to make their own dishcloths, scarves, and more!

New in 2019: Knitting Drop-In
Knitters of all skill levels are welcome to attend our knitting drop-in every Tuesday - Starting on Jan 8th - from 12-2pm. Bring your work in progress or start something new after browsing through our pattern booklet! Worried that you'll miss lunch? We got you covered - soup and snacks will be available during the drop in.

In addition to all of the above, we want to engage with existing knitting groups in Muskoka. A scenic cruise in the fall, hot cocoa and snowshoeing in the winter, and a show-and-share celebration in the new year! These will be open to existing knitting groups in addition to our workshop participants to engage with one another and build a stronger community – we want to Knit Muskoka Together!

For more information, please contact Krishma: kgoraya@ywcamuskoka.com

Knitting Muskoka Together is funded by the Government of Ontario seniors community grant.
