Y's Senior Women

Y's senior women programs are for women at any age but especially for seniors. They include art workshops, financial literacy, gathering and sharing stories and building a community network. We offer these programs throughout Muskoka. Bring a friend and have some fun!

Muskoka Together

Knitting Muskoka Together is a series of free beginner's knitting workshops being held in Port Carling, Huntsville, and Bracebridge this Fall and Winter. Each series is 4 weeks in length, with one 2-hour-long workshop each week. At the end of the 4 weeks, participants will have a completed project that they will get to take home - along with the supplies to start their next one! No experience necessary. Supplies and light refreshments will be provided.

In addition to these beginners workshops, we want to engage with existing knitting groups in Muskoka. A scenic cruise in the fall, hot cocoa and snowshoeing in the winter, and a show-and-share celebration in the new year! These will be open to existing knitting groups in addition to our workshop participants to engage with one another and build a stronger community – we want to Knit Muskoka Together!

Knitting Muskoka Together is funded by the government of Ontario seniors community grant.
