GBV Prevention Coordinator

The GBV Project Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Director of Youth Services in the implementation of youth programs. This role will work in alignment with the mission of the Community YWCA of Muskoka, agreements with funders, and the needs of the participants. 


Girlz Unplugged
has over 30 years of a proven track record in Muskoka in school-based programming. Girlz Unplugged creates a safe space where girls explore topics like gender stereotypes, body image, and healthy relationships, while developing protective factors such as belonging, self-confidence, communication, and critical thinking. Held during recess and nutrition breaks, it offers snacks, materials, and a non-judgmental facilitator. 


The GBV Project Coordinator will play a key role in the updating of  Girlz Unplugged™ curriculum and scale up  across Muskoka schools.

Summer Programs Facilitator

The perfect Summer job for students or someone returning to Muskoka for the summer! Monday-Friday and weekends off! 


YWCA Muskoka has offered education in healthy relationships, inclusion, and leadership training through various youth programs in schools and Muskoka communities for 30 years. This summer: Girlspace Leadership (ages 12 – 14) and Girlz Unplugged (ages 9 – 11) weeklong day programs and youth workshops will run over 7 weeks at a few locations around Muskoka. This position will assist in the development and delivery of relevant, learning opportunities for girls and those identifying as young women in Muskoka and works closely with the Director of Youth Services and a co-facilitator.
