Laura Sundy

Laura brings over a decade of experience in public relations and communications. After graduating with an Honours Degree in English Literature and Political Science from Queen’s University, Laura completed a Post-Graduate Certificate in Public Relations at Humber College. She went on to work for a national public relations firm leading accounts for multinational corporate and non-profit clients, along with the federal and provincial governments. 

During this time, Laura managed budgets, generated new business opportunities and worked with a wide variety of stakeholder groups around the province to garner support and gain insight for various programs, including projects pertaining to the economic development of Northern Ontario.

With her husband and three young children, Laura moved from Toronto to Muskoka in 2014. She served on YWCA Muskoka’s Board of Directors as Chair of Fund Development and Communications and sat on the Bracebridge Chamber of Commerce Communications Committee.

In addition to her work at the YW, Laura is a freelance writer and has written for a number of Canadian magazines and publications.
