Krishma Goraya

Krishma brings over five years of experience in communications and public speaking. After graduating with an Honours Degree in Criminology and Justice from Ontario Tech University, Krishma started her career at YWCA Muskoka. During this time, Krishma has taken on many roles, including: project coordinator, women’s programs assistant, social enterprise researcher, and currently as the organization’s Communications Developer.

Krishma is a sought-after public speaker and facilitator. She is heavily involved in the YWCA Movement. Krishma has spoken on a panel at YWCA Hamilton as part of their #WomenVoteON campaign and presented at YWCA Toronto. She has facilitated public speaking workshops for YWCA Canada’s Young Women’s Leadership Program and was part of their Leadership Summit Animation Team in 2020-21. Krishma also hosted our second annual She Talks Muskoka virtual fundraising event in 2020.

Krishma stays up to date on the social needs of her community. She is regularly involved in leadership and committee roles, supporting local charities and community groups. Krishma is passionate about community care, accessibility, and storytelling. These values inform her day-to-day work in communications and social media management at YWCA Muskoka.
